Hey, Y’all.

Welcome to my blog.

Expect reflections on long distance hiking, hiking culture, nature, creativity and my undying love for backrests.

BMT Day 2: Getting Used to White Diamonds

It’s weird to be following white diamonds instead of the usual white blazes. But I’m managing.

In fact, the Benton MacKaye Trail has been well-marked; well-maintained with only a handful of overgrown sections and zero blow downs; and a fast tread, mostly dirt, not too many rocks or roots, so far.

Bonus points: I’m only on day three and have had two opportunities already to take a quick dip. Which I needed approximately 63 seconds into my hike.
